ive have a 330d se auto. i got a new injector ( number 2) put in but ever since its been very smokey when i put power on and drinks diesel alot more than usual. plz could u tell me wat u think the problem could be ?

New (5 recon) injectors fitted and she runs as sweet as a nut. The difference is truly amazing….. it is like a different engine …. absolutely silent and it has not even been coded yet! needless to say I am delighted.
Even from cold it is as quiet as a mouse and there is no diesel clatter. It runs and pulls a LOT better and is as smooth as silk. It is transformed.
So the lesson is that injectors will still work for many hundreds of thousands of miles but they do start to deteriorate after about 100K. I paid about £100 and odd each (I think!) for the recon injectors from Diesel injectors, diesel engine problems, united diesel uk who were truly fabulous. The guy there knows what he is talking about and was very helpful and approachable. I think he has been at the injector game for a lifetime… does not seem to be much he does not know about diesels! I rang him a few times for advice and the phone was always answered promptly and he always had time to listen and offer sound advice. The injectors arrived when he said they would and the copper washers and O rings were already fitted – even had rubber grease on the O rings ready for install and the new codes were neatly printed on the instruction sheet. All in all I cannot fault the service – they remind me of how businesses used to be when I was a lad ie they give a damn about their customers!
I shall take it to be coded up tomorrow and I may ask them to re-map it while I am there. I am beginning to like this vehicle.

Now that my car is back on the road and running I just thought I would take a moment to thank you for the work that you did on the injectors for my Golf. My mechanic who actually works for VW said that the quality of work was as good as brand new set from VW. My car now starts instantly with no smoke, the power delivery is clean and I have no misfire at all.
I cannot praise the quality and speed of your service enough and both I and my mechanic will be recommending you and your company in the future.
Once again many thanks for helping me fix my rather sick car.

Hi everyone. Just felt I had to leave a comment about the incredibly efficient and friendly service provided by this company.
I contacted Keith exactly a week ago as I had serious blowback on at least one injector on my Chrysler Grand Voyager. Although it was far from a huge money making job for Keith, he posted the replacement seals/washers by first-class post and I had them the next day.
My vehicle is now fixed and running well. I dread to think how I would have been treated by a main dealer if I had approached them for the same items and advice. It is a breath of fresh air in this dog-eat-dog world to find such a friendly and efficient company.
I will be back for sure, and will be sure to recommend to anyone.

Big thank you for suppling the above item, this was the only sight I could find that supplied this part as a single item, the Merc stealer’s only do this in kit form, also stayed open & waited for my son to collect on NEW YEARS EVE although the part was only a couple of quid. So once again THANK YOU five star rating*****
My van was broke down in Scotland. I desperately needed a pair of fuel injectors for my Volkswagen LT van. I found the company over the internet and as i am not a mechanic phoned the United Diesel for confirmation which part I may need.
They dealt with me very confidently with precise knowledge in the matter. The parts were posted extremely quickly, so thanks for the United Diesel my van was on the road again within 3 days from the first phone call. Thank you so much, I appreciate the business with them.

I stumbled onto this site when trying to sort out a problem which I now know to be injector blow by. This was the only site where it was explained clearly and where I could get the tools to fix it. I emailed some questions and got a response with an hour. I ordered a seat cutter on loan, some turbo clean and washers. They were out of stock of the turbo clean but emailed me and asked if I would like to defer the order or recieve it two parts. I decided to hold the whole order for a day while stock arrived. Overall I found the service from United Diesel to be excellent with good communications and prompt delivery. I have posted a similar recommedation on the Ford Focus Owners Club diesel forum.
